Yesterday, a Volunteer recognition  event took place.  Almost overshadowing many other City Volunteers in attendance were the “Information Desk” volunteers  commanding  everyone’s attention by wearing  their  yellow shirts.*

The full crew

Our City is depended on the many boards that are all voluntary and take a considerable amount of time from the individual spare time.  This breakfast  honors them and thanks them for their care and involvement.

Here  we have one hundred percent  in one photo . Been a  long while where even our leaders had the time to be all in one place at one time other than on the dias.  Must mention here, the two newest members came up from the volunteer sector.  So if you my reader have aspiration, follow their lead.  Volunteer, be active and care to do the right thing.

Glen Scheiner, Susan Ona with guest speaker Alan J. Bernstein.

Guest speaker Alan J.Bernsteinis the director of Visitor Services for Discover THE PALM BEACHES.  We are now on the maps that they distribute not just in Palm Beach County but all of Florida.   He will be bringing to our fair city by the sea, about a hundred or so people in the tourism field on May 12 for a look-see. Bob Lepa seen here serves on the Finance Advisory Board, Theresa Miller is with the visitor information group.  If you want to volunteer call city hall and apply to any one of these boards. Send a message to Sylvina Donaldson sdonaldson@lakeworth.org she can let you know where your assistance will be most appreciated.  Currently a most gratifying board to serve on with openings is the Recreation Advisory Board .  Which I had the honor of serving so if your young at heart it’s a good fit.   link to all the boards ttps://www.lakeworth.org/city-hall/boards/

and of course we all were charmed by having our breakfast serves to us.

Our City Manager honored all who sat there with Namaste. The appreciative  gesture Namaste representing the belief that there is a divine spark within each of us that is in the heart chakra. The heart of our volunteers.

They actually look awesome sitting in their fishbowl surrounded by an underwater scene.
