Vernissage

Last night I attended the opening (Vernissage) of the annual ART Palm Beach 2017   it’s not what it used to be and definitely not ART Basel.   More to come as I look at the art more carefully at a time when it’s not about who is there and how are they dressed.  It was good to see some of our area artists represented.  The lighting was poor,  The parking chaos, For the positive lots of fabulous glass to be seen.  The trend is embellish .  There is art of some iconic artists i.e. Warhol should you purchase know that the Warhol Foundation  will no longer authenticate,  as the market is flooded with them. Yes, even with provenance.

If you go approach via I-95 that puts you in the right lane as you approach the PB Convention Center as parking entrance is now on the west side.  Valet is  $15  self parking $5 but that was not available closest parking is City Place.  You might get lucky and find the Vineyard Vines shuttle free but he does work for tips. Must say he was great as we left after ten and took us directly to our City Place Parking space on the 4th floor.  Thanks.
