This is part one of two. Looking for a quiet seaside town? This was an atypical weekend
The last several days have been busy busy starting with Thursday Night. Laid back with an occasional adrenaline rush. We just had that kind of 4 day weekend. Aren’t we lucky!
We started with the promise of a brighter future. A presentation extremely well attended at the Casino Beach Complex. Presenting was our Mayor Pam Triolo and CRA Chair Cary Sabel below, and guests presenting a look at future progress possibilities, just for our little quirky seaside town and they had a power point showing the demographics of who we are . As we all exited there was this awesome Car Show which happens on the Second Thursday of each month. We have lots of car buffs and collectors in Lake Worth. Spotted from the Casino Balcony were some local enthusiasts.
Then for me, a quick photo of the Thursday Night Peddlers as they waited for the rest of the Thursday Night Peddlers, who now are back to their Thursday night rides. They meet at the Gulfstream Hotel and ride through town, open to all Lake Worth residence with bicycles. Must mention this is leisure riding, no spandex.

getting ready to ride in the longest nighttime Christmas Parade, actually we keep those lights on all year-long.
Then on to the meeting of the Friends of the Lake Worth Library at a local eatery. They are instrumental in getting the LFL books and are planning an awesome book fair for 2017 . All in all if you want to get to know the locals, pitch in and have fun this is the place and volunteers are always welcome. Can’t think of a better way to get to know the locals. Friday was Veterans Day.
with a grand parade honoring all our Veterans, not just those of Lake Worth, but also the extended families who served in the military. “Evening on the Avenue” was on the Cultural Plaza as it is each Friday Night and the very first night of the “Bonfires on the Beach” took place .
Saturday started early as the Grand Prix of the Sea a three-day event took place at the Lake Worth Beach and they could not have had a better 3 days. I got a front row seat as I was under the pergola with the Lake Worth Artists. I certainly got a kick out of it. As a former Grand Prix photographer I got my start at the Indy 500 and worked for several European Motor Sport magazines. No longer using a Nikon with 200 mm lens I’m shooting with a point and shoot Nikon so had some challenges with the timing. But I got these photos.
So far we are through Sat. Part 2 Sunday the Super Moon event on the Lake Worth Pier will be posted tomorrow, with photos you have not yet seen.
