your weekend could be just as interesting

Weekends! This week we have the fabulous $5 breakfast at the mocking-bird gardens 21ist and n D st.   But how has yours started?  As  the “LakeWortheveryminute.com”  author I entertained a guest last weekend.   Hope yours this week plays out like this.  I’m always open to my artist friends from Miami and try to show them around Lake Worth and what all it has to offer.   Like a diverse mostly engaging happy community.  Part of that is always a trip to our Lake Worth Beach, either for the sunrise or for turtle watching, shelling or just plain chilling.  It’s their get a way.  They never leave disappointed late Sunday.   I leave the options open and totally to them.  A different restaurant this time, always the beach.  Galleries you can walk to.  An art film, and just strolling up /down our avenues.   FullSizeRenderTurtle watching I promised and we got lucky at this site, we spotted, my count 35 little guys heading for the water.  Someone else counted 40. Priceless.  We met with some folks from Tropical Ridge who are about to get engaged in their neighborhood.  Told them their meeting was this coming Monday at the Towers at 6 p.m.  Doing my share to assist.  We made this open house.  I always try to get my artist friends to invest up here.  Like I always say Lake Worth is a cross between Key West and the old Coconut Grove. P1000513 So we looked at this open house and if you didn’t make it for the cottage tour, it doesn’t get  better.  It is available for sale.  Also it was one of the cottages that was on the Cottage Tour.  We drove by one of the original Little Free Libraries.

Lake Worthians

Lake Worthians

A Lake Worth family boarding with their kids. Now see this guy below, well he has now officially retired from Lake Worth High and brought his bride with to this  very spot, yes .  IMG_3745This has been where I have photographed him in the exact spot, the past 4 years and always reading the paper.  Wonder who recognizes him?  Further down the beach was practice for theFullSizeRender upcoming Special Olympics.  Never a dull moment in Lake Worth.  Now the next photo is because it got far more crowded than you see but i took it from the shower on the south side close to Benny’s on the Beach which IMG_3792has now for the 3rd consecutive week been missing the handles so no one can use it.  I reported it to the Life Guards who assured me they reported it to maintenance.  but still it is not fixes.  Hello Lake Worth. IMG_3767 Then my photo as this is the next painting in my series, see the resemblance to the artist Dega?  and the last thing we did on Monday as she headed homeIMG_3959 was to drop our donation off at the Farm Workers Council the decision was based on the fact that they do not sell they give to those who need.   Have a great weekend and don’t forget the last Sunday of the month $5 breakfast.

Editors note:  anyone who has a great story with pictures is welcome to submit here and share.
