schedule of events Running of the Roses this weekend.

This is  paradise for those in the know.  Unless YOU check here periodically or you’re in the know, there are so many things happening in Lake Worth & surrounding area,  mostly free.

Start with EVENING ON THE AVENUE  always on the First as well as the Third Friday. of the month.  With Leap year  I’ve been thrown off the usual schedule of events because there are months with 5 Fridays, five Saturdays, five Sundays.

  May 6, First Friday of the month starts with an addition to the Evening on the Avenue. A Photo Exhibit at the PNC Bank  from 6 – 8 p.m. by the areas avid photographers as well as professional shooters. FREE.  Just across Lucerne Ave. across from the cultural plaza.P1000645

6 -10 p.m. on the Cultural Plaza Evening on the Avenue eoa_8x11flier_web 6-10 p.m.  Always a great place to gather meet up with friends listen to the music stop at the NAPC tent near Lake Ave and L st. dble tent all lit  up and smell the pop corn,DSCN9139 have a game of scrabble.  Saunter through downtown on Lake heading west stop at the Palm Beach Cultural Council  have a look at their photo exhibit and listen to their Lobby Concert FREE  every 1st Fri. in tandem with the other going ons.  Directly across the street see our Puppet Master and you’ll hear a nickelodeon

May 7th  7 a.m. to 9 a.m.  Bryant Park  Women for Women 5K race.

W4W-GS-LogoRoad closures: 1st Ave. S., Ocean Breeze, 5th Ave. S., S. Palmway, 18th Ave. S., and S. Lakeside Dr.  Parking restrictions: Most runners will park in Bryant Park, and north of the park. Parking for boat trailers will be closed until 10:00 am.

This is just part of the weekend.  Heading into  May 8th  Sunday  Check out J st’s Clay Glass Metal Stone  15 S. Now for those who want to see Mother Nature at her best.  Sunrise at our Pier is 6:36 a.m.  Definitely not to be missed.  And for the not so strong swimmers who love the ocean lowtide is at 4 p.m.  also past the time of the strong rays. Perfect for having the whole family out for a swim.    Remember life guards leave at 5 p.m. stay safe. 

Looking INTO NEXT WEEK    Monday is Food Truck night at the Cultural Plaza    WEDNESDAY JOIN up with the Thursday Night Peddlers who leave the Gulf Stream Hotel parking area around 6:30  meet up 6ish.  Great group of people.
