What an absolutely amazing month! So much filled the 5 Saturdays this March. Not complaining, who doesn’t love a parade. It is leap year and with 5 Saturdays then, 5 Sundays to look forward to as Lake Worth’s 4th of July event will be one long 4 day weekend. The week leading up to this weekend had volunteers come by and create bonnets for the kids ready to embellish with their own touch, ribbons and an array of blossoms for their choosing. All went according to plan, even the music this year. They paraded to the song “The Easter Parade” song. and as you can see in the video they did the Bunny Hop. ( must excuse my attempt to capture it via video) I am not good at that part. Thanks to, in great part, to Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit Ted Johnson and Julie Siever just the most awesome Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit. to the volunteer that did back up. Especially the moms who worked this event while their kids hung in waiting for their turn for mom’s attention. The current Recreation Board who oversaw this event and made all this happen for all the Kids of Lake Worth who came. We were pleasantly surprised at the appearance of our own Mayor Pam, so we put her to work.
Towards the end a guy came up to me asking where he would get a basket? I had one with tools in it like scissors and glue gun, I dumped it, gave it to
him and wondered where the basket would end up. Well, did not know till i edited these photos. Am totally delighted with who got it and how this day went.
IN THE PATCHES lots of excitement scurrying to find that golden egg. I witnessed some awesome great behavior. This helicopter mom yelled at this little girl that she had picked up her daughters eggs that had fallen out of her overfilled basket. Sophia to my astonishment turned around and handed the two eggs to the other little girl. Great job raising your daughter Jessica. and Sophia’s basket wasn’t even full.
‘some time this afternoon I will post the Flofing and first go to Gray Mockingbird Garden for their breakfast and another Easter Event for the kids and again via volunteers of this city.
