MORE PHOTOS contributed by Marshall Pass Last night was special, with a lot of happy Lake Worthians. You cannot imagine the feeling you get when someone with feeble cold hands reaches out to you and says “Thank You” just two heartfelt words. as you hold their hands. The Thursday Night Peddlers now riding on Wednesday met up in front of the GulfStream Hotel . It starts with 3 then 5 and as more peddlers arrive it is hard to take a photo of all. We were 20 some strong and en route picked up a few more pedlers. This was the 4th season that the Lake Worth Pedlers with decorated bikes caroled through our streets of Lake Worth. Last night we peddled Downtown Jewel and Royal Poinciana neighborhoods en route to The Lake Worth Towers . With cheers from our friends along the way and crowds sitting in restaurants of course we make a splash as we en mass come down the incline into their parking area. A lot like the kids who were the look out at the Bryant Park Neigborhood Tree Lighting we could hear from afar “their coming their coming”.
This is a volunteer group that is NOT organized but shares the fun of doing what comes along and goes with the flow. This night was special, we were not just by ourselves. The Tropical Ridge neighborhood where The Towers are located provided two huge trays of cookies, Thank You guys. Mary Lindsey was on hand with hot chocolate. Thank You. Sidney Phillips was our inside grapevine who alerted everyone of our intentions and arrival time Thank You.
THank YOU to all our riders who made the time to give something no one else could, yourself, your time, your voices of joy. A shout out to this years musical arranger Maryellen who had a though job trying to co-ordinate a group that is this independent . This group comes together to ride through the streets of quirky Lake Worth Beach and always welcomes anyone with unmotorized wheels. We are the only ones in the entire United States of America that does this. Quirky, no? a few more photos
