Art Matters a double entendre ?

We the community of artists are engaged in make the world a more beautiful place.  This past week an important decision came down via the tax courts.  This was a battle won for us (artists).  Not assuming everyone reads the N.Y. Times .  That is where it was reported.  All I can say here  share this blog and the link.  This is the first paragraph  “If you say you are an artist, but you make little money from selling your art, can your work be considered a profession in the eyes of the Internal Revenue”

Now you can breathe a bit better.  But what is the cost involved.  Yes of course, your basic must have supplies.  Your time certainly and how much is that worth an hour.  Are you selling your work by the inch.  So much to consider. What price membership to ponder.

Here  is a comprehensive list of the cost of membership for artists in Palm Beach County co-ops.   I reside in Palm Beach County,* These are art organizations most, not all are 501.c3 What they have in common they provide a service to our area artists.  Again the question is at what cost. The red column indicates the cost to the artist for the year as an active member.
