Home again and already missing you……
……And here I am back in sunny England and just about over the jet lag, which is so much more evident this way round! Things are pretty much the same here, school has just finished so excitement abounds and the beach is full and parks and fields are filled with young people playing football and sunbathing and chattering and just having fun The roads have been busy because it is was the big getaway weekend with it being the most popular weekend for travellers jetting off on holidays abroad…..it all gets much more normal after a couple of weeks. I notice small changes, buildings that were half finished when I left are now completed…there are two new restaurants that I am excited to try and the ever changing face of the local area with trees and flowers in bloom……beautiful!
Catching up with family and friends is always fun and I forget how much I miss them.I am so looking forward to some get together this week. It is quite amazing how life changes so easily and slots back into place very smoothly. Appointments are made, work commitments jotted into the diary along with meetings and murals and voluntary work and camping trips and barbecues and parties and road trips…….
Lake Worth carries on much the same I note and I always scan facebook and blogs with so much more care when I am away, just in case I might miss something exciting and not join in albeit from England….my new challenge here is setting up the free little libraries. I was so impressed with the project in Lake Worth and am anxious to share it here. I have already put in the design for the library and will have those built and painted before long and then it is just a case of getting the interest of the community….I think it will be hugely popular, I hope so anyway! The children are very interested in it and are already working on the colours and design for their libraries and book collecting is already underway…woohoo!
Here in England we are desperate for rain, I note that as we left you got rain in abundance, not so here where the grass is very yellow and watering makes very little difference. Oh well, it will grow again and very green as soon as the rain comes, which it certainly will at some point. Amazingly enough there are some plants that thrive despite the weather and bravely they push up out of the ground and display the most glorious colours and designs for our wonder……I love that!
I apologise for shortness of the blog this week and promise that by next week I will be able to regale you with stories and information that will make you smile……until then have a wonderful week!
