Recap of the weekend that was

Do I start with Friday or go to Sunday and back track.  Sunday it is.  “Sing Out” brought some outstanding talent to us via Mel and Vinnie, the creators of the Lake Worth Anthem.  Singers and songwriters who make their winter home here and as i write this are packing to go up north to sail on the Hudson River and spread their cheer and love. Going back wards  this was the closingDSCN6764.

The Event was held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 2000 n D st.   With lots of volunteers who all had designated organized duties via very organized Mel.    Mary L. and Judy E.  in the kitchen Chris G. and Rhonda H.  and a go to person/runner tall John and the list is extensive.  I did not know everyone.

The Musicians came from different parts of the state just to perform at this event. If you missed it, well, that is sad.  Should you be close to any one of the areas look them up and go see them performing.

All friends and each had stories about Pete Seeger and Toshi who influenced them as performers.  Pete and Toshi dedicated themselves to what is right and just do right.imgres                         images-1

I Had  posted photos of the fabulous hats however, what did not get a lot of coverage was the work that went on behind the scene and without the helpful volunteers of Bryant Park this event would not have come off without a hitch.  Bryant park has done this now for   14    years and very successfully.  South Shores was decorated with roses, and flat screen TV in each area was tuned to the  “Race”  the winning horse did not receive the normal noisy,  I was that winner,  it was quietly appreciated by myself as unbelievable. Of course lets just see those great hats once more .
