EASTER WEEKEND

Amazing how time moves swiftly if you have lots to do.  This coming weekend it’s once more a full weekend if you want to take part as a Lake Worthian. Yes it is !  April 1, 2015  No Joke    get a book at our Library for only twenty-five cents  .Bargain Basement Clearance Book Sale  yes  .25 cents.  Last day, only day. Bring your own bag or box  stock up and have a great summer. 

IMG_0228Thursday April 2, 2015 Join the Thursday Night peddlers at the Gulfstream Hotel,  meet around 6ish and we ride at 6:30 sharp.  This is a leisure ride along the Inter-Coastal heading south then back up Palm Way north  approx 3.5 miles.  Through some of the loveliest neighborhoods of Lake Worth Beach.

Friday April 3, 2015  Real Mail Friday at FAU down the road a bit approx. 15 min on I-95 Well worth the short drive to the Jaffee Center for Book Arts.  3 –  6 p.m. afternoon. This is  April, National Letter writing month. Great place to start this process with all the IMG_2627accoutrements they offer like cookies + coffee or tea and all the beautiful papers and pens there for your personal use.  Located 3rd floor of the Wimberly Library on campus.    $10 donation     If you have never been there you owe yourself this trip.  15,000 books as aesthetic objects. Open to the public.                                                                                                                                          The Passion Play begins at 6 p.m. in  our Cultural Plaza you don’t have to be religious to appreciate this solemn dramatization by some of our community.  They head north on “M” to Sacred Heart Church on 4th .  eoa_8x11flier_web

This gives way to EVENING ON THE AVENUE  and our Front Porch 414 Lake Ave. Cultural Plaza with games, popcorn.  Sit a spell while chatting with your neighbors over a friendly game of scrabble.  Find out which neighborhood is yours.  Live music on stage, vendors, some food.  All of downtown stays open late on this evening.  Visit the galleries. April 4 Saturday,  9 a.m –  Ocean Side Farmers Market on our Inter Coastal at  Old Bridge Park – NW Corner of A1A & Lake Ave.  Cafe seating enjoy a morning cup of java, some fresh pastries. Some organic produce.  Always worth a visit.  11044640_753066464788995_7787788049767526731_n

 

 

April  4, Saturday  Norton Museum of Art  Palm Beach County residents receive FREE admission on the first Saturday of every month.  take valid ID  or a utility bill.    West Palm Beach residents get in free every Saturday.                                                                                April 5, Sunday  Easter Sunday  Sunrise on our Beach is  7:15   There usually is a Sunrise Service on Easter on the Beach.
