Well I’ve had a couple of wonderful experiences in the last two days and they were art full. Had a special invitation to come as an artist to the Sacred Heart 1st annual art and music event. then the Peeps are back in town. It started at the Armory Art Center by chance. It’s possible to miss this 40 foot mosaic as it is in the rear of the building. Take time, there is always an exhibition there to enjoy. Now is the time to think children’s art camp they offer one.

On to Sacred Heart this is a first annual event and it was fabulous as is everything they do is. Ms Howard (mrs. willie howard) the art teacher had the various classes study the post impressionist artists. The results a stunning success. I’m looking forward to the 2nd annual one already. Such joy to see the young talent being nurtured. Picasso could not have said it better
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

proud parents w Ms Howard
- she nailed it.
The other component to the arts was musical. Can’t imagine anyone taking this talent for granted. Had I not seen the jazz band perform I would have thought I was listening to more mature musicians..

On to the Peep show. It had its opening during a deluge but that did not stop the hundred or so people who showed up. Yes, it is that popular. Last year 1,600 peeps entered the gallery to view this phenomena while it was on exhibition.
