Last night Lake Worth Beach got a wonderful shot in the arm. You can’t buy this type of public relations. FIY was in search of small spaces. I don’t think they realize that Lake Worth has over 1,ooo cottages. They Found our artist Laura Ann and Bob via the article written in the N Y Times several years ago.
It is a reality show, keep that in mind. Amazing what you can do with that. The tiny house hunters looking for a vaca stay were introduced to Lake Worth via a tour of the new Casino complex, our fabulous beach and the fishing pier. There you have it, what could anyone else want. As we crowded around the living room watching with great anticipation for the program to begin with friends and neighbors. We waited .
So good so far, mind you it is reality TV after viewing the pink cottage they left to tour beautiful downtown Lake Worth Beach, driving slowly so you could see our gastro pubs, , the many downtown shops, Artefact which is Bob and Laura Ann’s gallery on Lake Ave. even our City Hall got a cameo appearance. They then returned to view the other available Cottage, the turquoise one. They made it appear that they are at two different locations, thus giving them a break to tour Lake Worth. The couple searching for this next tiny home have five children and they all need to fit. The discussion went on and when they admired the art work which was boldly featured. They discussed their needs and when the husband viewed the bath “we would have to tile the bath” you should have heard the roaring laughter in the room. They said some lovely, all true, things about Lake Worth Beach after all if you live in a tiny place you will most certainly need the amenities that we in Lake Worth have.
I’ve written about Laura before on this blog as one of our Artists of Lake Worth and you can see a bit more of her blue cottage if you missed last nights program on FYI. Especially the bath that they would re-tile. This piece of art above is one of her works of art which she had the delightful fortune to sell at the recent ART Basel. Boldly on the large screen tv for everyone watching “Lake Worth is a lively Arts and music hub”. There you have it.
Lake Worth Beach will see itself on national TV again soon via the filming that happened at Suri. Great going for such wonderful secret place, where we all live. We have lots of cottages let’s get this crew of Hunting for Tiny Houses back.
