There is always something to learn. This past week I took a glass cutting class at the Mc Mow Art Glass place up on Dixie Hwy and 7th n. Been in the place with friends and have attended some of the free demos, always interesting. Now I come with experience but it was ever so long ago. I went ahead for a refresher. Well it turned out I knew little to nothing. Phil Materio was the instructor and he was an absolute charming well prepared and I’d say a gifted teacher. He shared so much about glass and of course how to break into a bank, he had all the tools and they are all for sale. ( you’ve seen the films with the glass being cut out) If your reading this you might also be interested in his Holiday open house which takes place tonight. Dec. 9 , 6 – 9 with a special treat. As part of McMow’s annual Holiday Party festivities, from 7-8 tonight, the Benzaiten Center’s Rick Eggert will be presenting all they will have to offer including hands-on glass blowing classes. then from 8-9 Randy Wardell makes a reappearance by popular demand. You might also want to check out their blog showing holiday inspirations that make beautiful gifts. I understand there will be some valuable give a ways.
