heading into the holidays

By now the shopping frenzy should be done with and it’s time to enjoy being a Lake Worthian,  don’t have to go to far if you live in our beautiful tropical paradise.  The calendar is filling up with lots of interesting and mostly free things to enjoy.

DSCN0223Dec. 4  Thursday.   The first of many Caroling Rides will commence this time a trial run see of the new innovation of bringing music along is doable.  Most of the bikes are now decked out???   Meet up at the Gulfstream Hotel 5:30 and ride at 6:00 pm.  Singing not a requirement on this ride,  Just listen to the music and enjoy the ride.  This is to everyone in our community who wants to join in.

il_570xN.179078247Dec. 5   Friday  3-6 p.m.  REAL MAIL FRIDAY on the campus of FAU 3rd floor Wimberly Library.  How do Real Mail Fridays work? Simple: You supply 10 bucks, we supply everything you need to write great letters: papers (commercial papers, handmade papers), pens (all kinds of them, from ballpoint pens to dipping pens), rubber stamps and other mark-making supplies, cookies, coffee, tea, cocoa, postage stamps, good music and good company.( missing this one, i’m volunteering at the beer tent at evening on the Ave.  darn.)10553522_10152347108281389_5622177833010527499_n-1

Dec. 5  Friday.  Evening on the Avenue with blues and jazz this evening .  Beer tent is being manned by Tropical Ridge and Royal Poinciana neighborhoods.  Tips are welcome, don’t drink?? Dec. 5  The once a month bike ride with the Lake Worth Critical Mass group.  Get your rush on.  If you’re not sure this is for you ride part of the way.  Guaranteed to put a burn in your legs the next day.

Dec. 6 Saturday   Ocean Side Farmers Market along side the Inter-Coastal waterway right n. of our Bridge to the beach.    Something for everyone here.  Not finished shopping ?  support local produce.  Home made products.  and a plethora of things found nowhere else. 580     9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

                                           Dec. 6  ChristkindleMarket in our backyard practically.  11 am to 8 pm.  There is a charge but here is the link so you can get in for less.    This is a traditional European christmas affair with all kinds of things to delight especially the little ones in your family.   Ice Skating, Santa Workshop.  Again take advantage of the special.  Located  5111 Lantana Road, Lake Worth, Fl 33463, that’s  6 miles from our actual Lake Worth Beach.  Ice Skating!

Dec. 7, Sunday  10 a.m. Head to our  olympic size  swimming pool with our mermaid instructor  Sally Welsh  the pool is heated.  Great time to keep those pounds at bay as the holiday  munching season is just getting underway.  $5  pay directly to Sally.  NOTE  there is also a Saturday a.m. class
