just one day in the life of Lake Worth

Even though I post all the activities for the weekend that are free, there are so many that even I don’t  get to all of them.  I did make some of the interesting things going on in our Lake Worth Beach town.  The Shuffleboard building is getting a face lift thanks to the CRA.DSCN0137 DSCN0127 and the new occupant the Armory Art Center Annex.  DSCN0133This is on going, so drop by the next couple of days, lend a helping hand.  Words of encouragement are also welcome.  Maybe the shuffleboard court its self, will get the next facelift.                        DSCN0142                                      Passing Starbucks, my camera is always spotted.  So much for candid Camera.                                                            Then on to the Library Book Sale.  Yes, I could not resist adding two more books to my library.  One by Caribbean author, artist, playwriter Derek Walcott the other about the Royal Academy from 1837-1901.  So much to know about art that is interesting, especially if you jury art shows as I have done for the Armory Art Center in the past.                                     DSCN0150 DSCN0147 DSCN0154                                                                                                                                                          Then the Beach scene was spectacular. DSCN0159   DSCN1679DSCN0181

The long-awaited sold out NAPC sponsored Thanksgiving feast at South Shores.  Open to all our residents of Lake Worth Beach.  Great way to meet new neighbors,  old friends and the invited next of kin over cocktails and a buffet dinner.  Karin put on a feast to please all, including those who are  vegetarians. Dessert by our own Celeste, Pies and cakes, she’s well named for her heavenly offerings.  Would any Lake Worth Beach community gathering be complete without the Lake Worth Anthem.   Written  and performed by Mel and Vinnie.  In case you are one of the snowbirds reading this, or vicariously living our life here, it is “Feels Like Home To Me”

Honestly these two people had never met before tonight, I just got lucky taking the photo when I did.
