Olympic size Lake Worth Pool used.

My purpose of going to the pool today was to see how many  young adults would qualify for the 30 open  positions for Jr. Lifeguard training camp.  Must be able to swim 300 yards and run on the beach 100 yards. DSCN0365 DSCN0397DSCN0369Lots showed up for the challenge.   Total surprise however was  the pool was in use by several groups and that is how Friends of the Lake Worth Pool envisioned it.  The pool used, as it once had been, when they formed their group a year ago. DSCN0367    The sounds of the whistle, the squealing of happy kids and the smell of suntan lotion evoked memories of happy times in public pools.         DSCN0372 (2)  A very large group from Imagine Summer Camp of Hypoluxo Rd and I-95, uses the pool every Friday and they were having a ball.  The older group alternates one week at the pool the following on the beach.                                                                                                                                   Little ones right here every Friday.  As full as the pool was this morning,  the beach was unusually empty.

Room for every one including our regular  mermen and mermaids.                            With this kind of programming, there is not need for tragedy.  Check out classes being offered by Sally Welsh for babies and beginners at the Lake Worth Pool.

Also  heard there is another NEW exercise class just for pregnant ladies,  before and after birth so they can feel and look as well as they always have. (Actually the secret is breast-feeding ladies) according to my Dr. who just delivered her 2nd and came back to work 2 mo. after looked as if she never had a child.
