EVERY Friday

Weather permitting!  Every Friday downtown Lake Worth comes alive with this free entertainment right on the corner of  L and Lake Ave.  DSCN6473The puppet performance begins at 7:30 p.m. with small 15 min. intermissions.  A very colour full but discreet painted can, hangs on the right side for tips.   This entire creation is made of highly decorated papier-mache. DSCN6482DSCN6489Sit there for a spell and your bound to see neighbors and friends walking their dogs, some going to get a bite to eat others bringing their kids to see the puppet show. DSCN6465 DSCN6467 DSCN6493 DSCN6468No one is to old for this show.   The music  is reminiscent of an old nickolodian, with familiar broadway tunes that leaves you wanting to sing along or dance down the street.    The 7:30 show  begins with nothing less than the  Circus theme song.  Puppets make mesmerizing mime movements, transporting the cares of the day far away.

It’s magical, all done by the Puppet Master who is one of Lake Worth’s treasure.  The Puppet Master holding his newest creation.Behind the scene, holding his newest creation.

L st. and Lake Ave.  has to be the most popular corner in Lake Worth.  The Starbucks is on one side and on the other  is our  local newstand.  Available on Thursday mornings, fresh of the press, the Lake Worth Herald, the New York Times.   Need information,  just step inside and chances are you will find what you need.  Directions, information, postcards, last minute gift items.  It’s where I get my  Hershey chocolate bars.
