This is one of the largest street painting festival in the United States. Lake Worth has just the right street configuration to make this happen, (others have tired) now in it’s 20th year. Making it happen are also the many resident volunteers. The Festival is Saturday and Sunday.
Thursday Feb. 20 6 p.m.Thursday Night Peddlers meet-up in Bryant Park parkinglot and they ride on 6:30 Have a bike or roller blades, a family affair, all welcome. Ride heads south first along the inter-coastal to 18th back on Palm Way to 1300 north. Drop off any point along the way or closest to your home.
Friday Feb. 21Kiwanis Block Party Lake Ave downtown closed to traffic. $20 and entertainment via 3 bands, annual event.
Saturday Feb 22 9 a.m to noon Ocean Side Market place. Opens at 9 a.m. to noon. Fresh breads, Veggies, made to order Juices, just the right thing to get you started, then head on over to the beach for a few hours. swimming pool is OPEN. located just on the other side of Inter-coastal on Lake Ave.
Saturday 10 a.m. all day Lake Worth Street Painting Festival and so much more. Head downtown Lake Worth and enjoy the hundreds of artists starting their appproved creations. There always is a section for the little ones. Mom can say “my kid can do that”. here they can. Lake Worth Art League will have artists outside painting en plein air. at Lucerne and L north west corner. All the Art Galleries will be open. Special treat Mel and Vinnie will be performing at South Shores Tavern located on Lucerne Ave. and M st. north west corner.
Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. come back to see the finished creations of the many artists who will be completing their artistic renderings.
There is a FREE trolly ride from the Tri Rail station should you park there that drops you off right at City Hall, just across the street from all the activities. PARKING for $5 a spot is also available at the First Presbyterian Church on 200 blk of n M st.
Tuesday noon to 4 p.m. Art Spirit Afternoon at the Shuffleboard Court FREE open studio for anyone who has a project or wants to learn various forms of art. This Tues. it will be collage.
