Veterans Day weekend

Have not seen such a busy weekend since I’ve made Lake Worth my home.  We are so fortunate to pick and choose.  Kick off the weekend with your family and head to the beach for the Bonfires tonight.  Wear your red white and blue.

  3. Saturday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Ocean Side Farmers Market
  4. Saturday 11 a.m. Veterans Day Parade usual parade route.   imgres
  5. Keys to the City performances in front of the Cultural Council Bldg. at 10-11  1-2 with Choir from Bak School of Arts and   4 – 5 p.m.  (different pianists)
  6. Commemorate Veterans ceremony on Cultural Plaza 1 p.m.
  7. ART & Tropical Garden Tour hosted by Gary and Bonnie Wilburn  a fundraiser for the Lake Worth Art League $15 Ticket includes one drink & Hors d’oeuvres, a guided tour of their garden.  Featured in the Mounts Botanical Registry.  An art exhibit on location.for info call Bonni  561 242 9005 or League 561 586 8666 be sure to bring your camera.  Direction available from Art League
  8. Closing reception with artist talk at 3 p.m. by the artist Annette Rawlings inside PB Cultural Council gallery.
  9. 3 p.m. Chili Cookoff at Bryant Park admission $5
  10. Sunday  South Palm Park 50th Anniversary BBQ Picnic Advance tickets for the BBQ are available for $10 until the day of the event. Tickets are $15 “at the door”. Picnic to be held in South Palm Park, 11th Avenue South and South Lakeside, 1 – 5 PM. Please contact Chip Guthrie for tickets, and more information. (561) 719-6696.
  11. 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.  Art Reception at the Lake Worth Art League  newly installed show.  Meet the artists.
  12. Monday  the 11th Official  Federal Holiday     Banks are Closed.
  13. Tuesday  noon – 1 p.m.   Keys to the City at the piano in front of PBCultural Council, pianist to presidents  Dave Crohan
  14. Art Spirit Afternoon at the Shuffleboard Court bldg.  Come and do a work of art on an envelope.  All the supplies provided.  Use the time to send someone a thank you note, a belated letter.  Have a cupa tea with friends. Never leaves the house without a camera. Writes another blog "One Ear Society" dealing with the ins and outs of the art world. Closed her Art Gallery in Coconut Grove after 17 years to relocate in Lake Worth.
