It’s a natural fit

Lake Worth being quirky, and a coastal town is ready to launch it’s own Pirate Festival.  what say  yee ?   It started at City Hall with a Proclamation read by our Mayor and all the commissioners decked out in Pirate garb plus our dashing City Manager in full regalia.

DSCN0951 DSCN0955 DSCN0963 DSCN0945 DSCN0972 (brings back fond memories of the 2012 raft race).  On the 19th the official Talk Like a Pirate Day, our Lake Worth  Library had a special treat for those in attendance.  all got a goody bag that included everything  that a sea worthy pirate would need on a two masted schooner for a day sail.  Pirates and Mermaids awaken the imagination to adventure and  held the apt attention as they were being read to.   A wonderful after-noon was provided by our Library.  They do this on a regular basis.  Check in for a schedule of events offered by them.

Ahoy, Listen Up you landlubbers.  Hold this date  for a special Pirate festival weekend endorses BY Royal Poinciana and the newly formed Sailing Club of Lake Worth.  Where Bryant Park, What a real Treasure Hunt, Fencing demo, learn to dance a jig,  visit a sailboat, Mermaid/Pirate Parade,  screening of Pirate film, listen to sea shantys.  Get your costumes ready circa 1650-1690 the golden age of Piracy.
