Good morning from England where the sun has been shining almost non-stop since I returned home, it has been a wonderful Summer.  Schools open for the new academic term on Tuesday and staff are in tomorrow for meetings, discussions over exam results and department meetings ….. making sure all is well when the students return.  It will be nice to see everyone again, that is a nice aspect of the return to school after 6 weeks break.  Here in England this is our longest term of the year September to December….after that it get easier..  I thought you would like to see a selection of our beach huts here where I live, as I walked along the sea front on Saturday,          image copy 9                  image copy 2 image copyimage copy 3image copy 5

Our thrift stores are very different here and are called Charity Shops. I volunteer each Wednesday at one which is also a support centre for anyone who needs help…we have people from all walks of life working there and I love it!!!       image copy 8 They are much smaller than  in America and are always busy. My favourite job is changing the window displays, a real challenge! I love meeting new people and there is a constant flow in and out of collectors of particular items scouting the shelves for treasures, parents looking for toys or clothes, let’s face it someone else’s rubbish is someone else’s treasure!image copy 10

We had a family day at our local community garden, it was fun and volunteers were digging, planting and watering. Some of our young, strong men were working hard on digging what will be the pond area, even deeper phew!    image copy 6   image copy 7 It was officially the last day of Summertime yesterday but apparently we are set for this glorious weather to continue for some weeks to come, happiness abounds and the gardens are loving it.  Enjoy your week in Lake Worth……..
