Weekend Activities

Might as well start right here.  Today was the installation luncheon by the Woman’s Club of Lake Worth.  It was held at the Croquet Club.    These fine ladies have served this community for 99 years. (well, not the ones you see here)  🙂 These are the new officers.

Friday April 12,  Sunset Celebration  5:30 – 8 p.m. out at the beach.  Know nothing about it but celebration equates with fun and friends. so show up.  Found this listed in the Utility bill.                  Reggae weekend starts downtown at the Bamboo Room 7 p.m.

Saturday April 13  hold on to your seat.  It’s a happening day.                                       Lake Worth Farmers  Market  8:00 a.m. the place for your weekly treats.                                                                                    Saturday Side Walk Sale on Lake Ave. downtown Lake WorthDSCN4287,  always nice to talk directly with  the artist who create the work on display.   Presented by the DCA aka Downtown Cultural Alliance.                                                                                                        Earth Day festivities  noon to 9 p.m.  Get a free tree, bring I.D. and you must be present to win.   53 trees will be given away  drawings on the hour from 1 pm to 5 pm     Day ends with a drum circle around 9 p.m. bring your own instruments. Reggae Fest continues at Bryant Park.         DSCN5825                                                                                                  Sunday April 14 Reggae Fest Bryant Park continues.     Also Sunday down the road a bit. Michael Bornstein as the Barefoot Mailman will lead a walk on the beach tracing the footsteps of the original Barefoot Mailman.   Arts and Crafts such as shark tooth necklaces and a message in a bottleTreasure hunts, Shark feedings, turtle races and more.   Live Reggae Music by ARTIKaL Sound System      WHERE:  Sandoway House Nature Center:    142 S. Closed her Art Gallery in Coconut Grove after 17 years to relocate in Lake Worth.
