Unique Lake Worth

Lake Worth is unparalleled in it’s embrace of diversity.                      DSCN5116             Lake Worth has embraced the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.  Many gathered in front of City Hall for the raising of the Pride flag.  Commissioner Andy Amoroso read a 2 page declaration, recognizing the many contributions of the gay community and the historic steps the City of Lake Worth took,  from 2001 to 2013 making Lake Worth such a desirable place to live DSCN5145 .                                                                                                                     This weekend is one of the best Pride Parades in the country, down Lake Avenue leading to Bryant Park where the festivities continue.  Saturday and Sunday,  Bryant Park events  include countless performances by drag queens, bands and dance divas.                               DSCN5159 The Parade commences Sunday at 11:30 a.m. downtown Lake Worth. ( Staging takes place on Lucerne Ave.   I will try to bring photos of the event as it unfolds.) I just love a parade!
