Ya’sou the other festival

Just a mile north of the Street Painting Festival is the 38th Annual Greek Festival at St. Catherine on Southern Blvd. and the inter-coastal.  Two adjoining areas house this large event.  The indoor Hall and the large outdoor tent where live music plays all day.  The Hellenic Band  played for the Junior dancers.   They also played for those who want to learn the steps to traditional Greek Dance like” Zorba the Greek”    DSCN0692 A total greek experience with dance and food and the dessert.   I started with the dessert, then went on the the Spinach pie with philo pastry and the hummus, well they invented it.  Gate is $3.00  Lots of ethnic items and foods for sale. DSCN0624 DSCN0630 DSCN0657 (1)

The 38th Annual Greek Festival will continue tomorrow Sunday.  Don’t miss the young dancers performing around 1:30,  performances throughout the day by different groups.  If you missed this and want authentic Greek Food, we have it here in Lake Worth at the Farmer’s Girl right on Dixie Hwy.         Ya’sou  means  Hello and Goodby   pronounced  yea long A and Sue.  DSCN0674Next year I’m starting with Friday at the Greek Festival as it is 3 days and end with Lake Worths Street Painting Festival.
