The Martin Luther King kick-off event for Palm Beach County took place at the Martin Luther King Memorial Park right on the inter coastal West Palm Beach, 2400 N. Flagler Drive.  There are times when some things just fall in the right place.  Talk about dreams of peace.   Another event a Peace Vigil also took place right there.  This Peace Vigil  is each and every Friday from 5 – 6 p.m. and has done so without a missed Friday since 2001.   IMG_0234Tonights was special as  Mel and Vinney lent their musical talent.  Heard some almost faded in memory, songs of protest from as far back as Woody Guthrie to Bob Dylan to “We Will Overcome” .   The response from the traffic was what I noted,  all positive with high signs and horns acknowledging us and the universal peace sign being waved.  IMG_0240The participants come from all over,  Lake Worth,  Boynton other parts of Palm Beach Co. all converged here tonight.  I’m not knew to the peaceful demonstration.  Afganistan War now is in it’s 11th year 3 months and 5 days.    Missing were the women in black.
