This Sunday the Lake Worth Art League will celebrate it’s first anniversary in their new location. One year now, how quickly time passes. But it appears all the galleries are picking up the pace. The Lake Worth Art League walls are bare in anticipation of more art coming in. The opening reception is this Sunday at 3 p.m. The work is as diverse as it’s 150 members and all the art is for sale so with a keen eye you can select just the the right work of art. Co-op galleries only takes enough to keep their doors open, anywhere from 15 to 20 % of a paintings price. Sunday at the opening you can meet them and one of the member artist is always there while the gallery is open. None co-op galleries do not have the luxury of a volunteer staff and must charge accordingly, obviously much higher for much of the same quality of work and often the very same artst. Many of the participants are life long artists, with a curriculum vitae that the young up and coming artists can only hope to achieve. Let me just say this “Big does not make it better“, With all the charming cottages in Lake Worth that do not have expansive walls, finding just the right art is a challenge so visit the Lake Worth Art League. If you have a significant other, the choice should always be made together.
