Not Forgotten

In 1946 after the big war Federal Highway was designated as a perpetual memorial to the Armed Forces past, present, and future.  In 1964  a Blue Star Memorial Marker was placed on N Federal Highway and 19th Ave. by Lake Worth’s Town & Country Garden Club.   A standing  reminder of those brave soldiers of the city who gave their lives for this country in various foreign wars.    This past June a luau was held at the American Legion Post #47 with the Garden Club to raise funds to renovate the marker.  A rededication is now  scheduled on Sunday by the  Town and Country Garden Club and American Legion Service Officer will take part in this ceremony.
