From Friday night

On the Cultural Plaza PBSO Palm Beach Sheriff Office had a a show of the equipment used daily on the job.   A T3,  better than a Sequay, so I’m told.  Three wheels rather than two.  There was a ATV, a air boat which hasn’t been immersed from the pristine condition.  Actually I had a hard time photographing all these vehicles as each of them had highly reflective surfaces.   The swat truck got most of the attention. The “Eagle” their helicopter didn’t make it to the Cultural Plaza nor did their ocean worthy boat.  They did have BOLO their blood hound but he was so popular I could never get near enough for a proper photo.  Well the two legged on did pose.

Of course none of the equipment works without the manpower.  Present looking sharp were Citizens on Patrol, the Explorers, the Community Police Unit,  they are the ones that come to  NA mtgs. and to outreach in the schools.  Currently they are setting up a garden across from NorthGrade.  The band which performed was the one that won 2nd place at the Battle of the Bands recently held at the Playhouse.   See that red scooter that is being raffled off.  Some lucky person will have that for Christmas.  The money collected goes towards the many bikes that are given away each christmas right here on the Cultural Plaza. Kawanis’s aim is to be able to purchase 60 bikes, then given to children here in Lake Worth.  Tickets are only $5 and such a wonderful way to give.
