Back from the Battle

If you missed this you sure miss out. Link is here to the actual performance at the Playhouse.   After helping with, sound checks, set ups, as stage hands,  “Rock n Roll Dundee” took the stage to set the pace for the Battle of the Bands competition.  They brought the house down with “Freebird” a request shouted from the audience of mostly musicians, who know their stuff.  I don’t endorse anyone but these guys helped all the competing bands with encouragement and working as if they where their roadies.  You want to see them, buy a ticket to the Seminole Casino’s Hard Rock Cafe where “Rock n Roll Dundee” will be appearing later this September.  This was a fund raiser for LULA and a standing ovation goes to Tracy Smith Coffee of the CRA for pulling this of.

Our Mayor Pam Triollo made a cameo appearance.  Thanking all the sponsors and letting the radio audience know Lake Worth supports all the arts and music is alive and well here.  Now for the winner and I so agreed with the judges,  The Republik!  They were innovative, original, write their own material and had stage presence and I could understand their lyrics.  Here’s an original idea from yours truly.  We should  have them, The Republik write a song for us as Lake Worth’s own Loving Spoonful did for Coconut Grove in the seventies, which put the Grove on the map.    The sponsors were
