between the rainbands

You would have thought it was a holiday out at Lake Worth Beach today.  Traffic was coming and going between the squalls.  Friends are in the comfort of “Benny’s at The Beach” enjoying Sunday brunch with a birds eye view of the streaming curiosity seekers below.  It’s been some time since we had any surf and  the few brave surfers were overwhelmed.  Here is a good shot of what is going on with the Pier at Lake Worth Beach.  The Pier is closed and the slats have been removed in anticipation of possible high waves.  Beach remains open and life guards are on alert for the thrill seekers.  Heard a couple of shrill whistles.  Baby’s first Hurricane.   Wellington visitors were spotted being sandblasted.    We are most fortunate to be on the other side of Florida and what else is wonderful today?  Check out the meter, photo below.  Now for my soap box.  How about burying the electric wires, while digging up the road.  A couple of cameras on top of Benny’s facing up and down the beach to deter the mischief makers.  As to the retaining wall think mosaic tile rather than paint.  The end.
