cheer-up

Today is just the right day to share these.  I spotted this mother with her hands full.  By the time I finished taking the photos i was laughing out loud.  I’d seen this scene here before with another Japanese family, as I waited and waited for my turn at the shower.   I thought I was the only one who took ever so long.   When  I come out of the water invariably I have flotsam attached to my hair and it takes time to get it out.   I waited delighted with the scene I’m observing.   There was no screaming or fussing.  But wait, the kids got another rinse by the car.    Crossing over to the car they picked up what?   Like I said, seen this ritual before.   They have the technique down.  A rented car to be returned pristine or just good habit?                                              During Hurricane Andrew I served as a Red Cross Manager overseeing couple of hundred people at a designated school that was to have life support system in place should power go out.  Well it failed and those that needed it were evacuated asap. The  place was chaos and the bathrooms you can imagine.  When it came to get volunteers to clean, two groups of tourist step up to help, the only volunteers.  Several German tourists and a group of Japanese that happen to be from a South Beach  hotel.  Mention this here as I never got to thank them.  Take all the time you want at the shower!
