and the Hero is

Mark Parilla honored today as the hero of Lake Worth.  This is a fledgling event the first, as a matter of fact.  Attended by many who all qualified as heros.  However it may in the future be referred to as the Mark Parilla award as his name is first on the plaque. Also recognized were honorees who every day are doing for others in our community.  Even as they were called to receive their citation they were working this event.  The event was free with food and drinks.  The serious part was that even at such a young age these children appreciate what Lake Worth means to them and depicted it in their drawings and essays. This one below truly resonates with me.  I could not have said it better.
