Ambiance du jour

Looking for a romantic place with ambiance?  I found just the place, its at 802 Lake Ave.  Enter to be transported to Morocco or Algiers.  The seating is low, on poufs and velvet cushions, relax in the style of  French North Africa.  What a delight to have found this.  I must say I had the best cup of green tea with mint, not exactly, it was served in a decorated glass just as it would be if I were over there.  It felt very authentic, the owner is from Algiers after all.  The food Mediterranean tapas style, begs to be shared with a group of friends.  Tribal belly dance hip Scarfs hang as decorations waiting to be used by patrons who feel the music.    Traditionally this dance is done by the men so no surprise to see them also get up to dance.   “je voudrais du the (tea ) s’il vous plait” Voila thats my wonderful hot tea on the bar served in a silver carafe. Hookah House has been here for one year.  It’s easy to walk past the the front with the modern white chairs, a bit misleading.  Check it out yourself, they have something different every night.  I took the photo below so I would not forget.  I so enjoyed the belly dancers that I include a video tutorial.  It’s not as easy as it looks, the dancers make it look easy but that’s after many many hours of training.  I did a trade at this particular studio on Lincoln Rd. and quit after the second lesson.  That hip joint movement was wicked.

Real generosity towards the future lies in giving all to the present.  Albert Camu
