Can you imagine a neglected eye sore having purpose. An awesome opportunity has presented itself in the Royal Poinciana neighborhood. This greenway is the concept for south 5th st. which never was paved, it lends itself perfectly for this type of project. Park benches, fruit trees, bike path, a greenway! This was presented but not seen, this past Tuesday at Commission meeting due to technical difficulties. All this is positive change in this Lake Worth neighborhood. Here are your invites, three home dedications this month. If you have not seen one of these homes up close and personal, mark your calendar. All made possible by NSP2, the federal grant awarded to Lake Worth.
This week Clay Glass Metal Stone turned over a check to Arts Creation Foundation for the children of Jacmel Haiti from funds they raised during their empty bowl event. Twenty of Lake Worths finest restaurant participated. CGMS gallery has held this fundraiser for the children of Jacmel Haiti for the last three years. The children have learned to exist through the creation and sale of their art. “This was a natural fit for our arts organization, culture builds communities” said Joyce Brown of the Downtown Cultural Association and Director of Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery.
