New Exhibit

Gracing the walls of the Bruce Webber Gallery is artist Joe Horton who attended Lake Worth High School once upon a time.  The seasoned artist is showcasing 45 figurative paintings.   “My interest in painting started at the Lake Worth Art Shop on Lucerne Avenue where I bought my first tubes of paint from Mr. Purnell, the proprietor.  I was nine years old at the time.   I arrived to an overflowing gallery of well wishers, and art aficionados.  The scenes and subject matter showed a full life well traveled.  I found my favorite, among the 45 paintings.  A small oil portrait of a latin male with the most exquisite brush strokes, beautifully rendered.   It is on the right hand side towards the rear of the gallery.  The  image so impressed that I will visit it several more times before the show comes down on April fifth. And invariably, there is always that pointing shot…….
